Weekend moments: Manhattan "ballroom"

Bethesda Arcade, Central Park. New York is more than just urban sprawl - after all, its metropolitan area covers bucolic Princeton! This arcade is one of Manhattan's loveliest spaces, it's like a public ballroom. The 1869 ceiling tiles were made by an English company and restored in 2007.

Adele - thanks! They were performing a beautiful version of "Ave Maria" - I should've recorded & uploaded it here! :)

Tanya - seeing those musicians were a lovely highlight, street musicians love the acoustics here!

PerthDailyPhoto - thank you! It really is great to have this in Central Park - the arcade was closed for so long, but they did a great restoration :)
